Incorporate a bot into the game for those mundane tasks that no one really has time to do….or would you like to be held liable for the many divorces that have resulted from people playing the game and the jobs lost because everyone is afrain if they don’t get online they will lose everything.Ĥ. Regardlesss of what Evony decides to do the first thing they need to do it the following:Ģ. Check the forums and only Age I seems to talk about it. Hats off to Evony for yet another botched up bulletin! Well Dave does this pertain to Age I or II or both? You don’t bother to spell any of that out so before everyone gets their panties in a bunch i think Evony needs to clarify that information. I know because my alliance has been through that for years. On Age II you can still play without boting providing you want o spend your lives living online 24/7. What does boting have to do with that unless your talking about Age I and we all know that bots are the only means of survival on those servers. I can’t believe you people did any of you bother to actually read and comprehend what they are talking about? IF you have been playing for the past 3 years then you would know that comforting was part of the the defense to keep your HC or 10′s from being taken. But in truth he has worked every morning to keep it and handicapping him with ever increasing prices to keep what he worked hard to build and defend is ridiculous. Some may say they’ve worked for the city so they should win it. ![]() These guys have been attacking him for over 2 hours now. He will lose troops due to refuge that they were never able to kill before if someone doesnt constantly supply him food until the attacks end. Tonight after the policy change was made public this same player hit him with the help of 5 friends from 2 alliances and letting the spam thru dropped his loyalty so when he started to bring it back up it cost him a fortune. So far his troops held up to this and only the spam he let thru did any damage. Each time it is the same player hitting him with between 60 and 80 waves within a couple of minutes from 9 cities. One of the members of my alliance has been getting hit like clockwork every morning between 5:00 and 6:00 AM. ![]() Quite honetly I think this is the worst policy change I’ve seen in 3 yrs playing Evony. We’ve done this to take a step towards bringing more fair combat back, and to make defense less of a sure thing if someone is willing to resort to defense by comfort.Ĭurrently, we’re using a formula that will determine food cost, then we apply a modifier based on the amount of times you use the feature within a period. As you use the comforting feature more, the cost increases. Now the cost will be scalable, and related to the actual makeup of both your cities and how you use the comforting feature. With those realities in mind, we changed the feature up a little. While it is part of the game, and has been unchanged for a long time, it’s a detriment to the spirit of fair combat, it removes challenge, and it rewards cheating. This is a heavily overused feature, especially within the population of players who account share and bot, due to the low cost, and ease of using it to mount a completely unbeatable defense. For what was a handful of food, one could repeatedly comfort in their city, completely blocking out other players from ever having the chance to take a city they’ve earned. For a long time it’s been extremely over powered. ![]() Like for everything really.Hi folks, I wanted to make a quick devblog entry regarding a change we’ve been working on with the comforting system. Then of course you'll have those complaining and hating it. I would question as to why it wouldn't be implemented rather then why would it. Truce agreements only happen once all troops are back inside a castle. It will also give offensive players more time to fight a city before the dreaded "Unable to declare against a city in truce status" comes up.Īll in all, this proposal is to entice more active gameplay, and fights one of the bot's most annoying features ever.īesides, even in medieval sieges. Now, people can fight those annoying bots that truce as soon as you march on them (set to auto truce 100 loyalty), and those that truce at certain loyalties. It will hurt bots a lot, since bots have virtually endless marching armies in/out of cities. Prevent trucing if any army waves are marching out of, or are returning to any city. Here's a simple proposal to fight auto-trucing bots, double-trucing bots, and people who truce at the first sign of an enemy. ![]()
